About Miners Hall Attic Renovation - Fundraising Complete!

She's been the heartbeat of our community for almost 120 years. It's here that we have gathered to dance, to sing, to marry, to connect, to celebrate, and to say goodbye. And now our grand old girl is entering an exciting new phase in her life and the life of our community.

The Attic Renovation Project will effectively double the size of the Hall’s community spaces. The breathtaking views and rugged timber architecture will transform a cold and dusty attic space to a warm and inviting gathering spot. There will be a multi-purpose room, meeting lounge, kitchenette, storage, washrooms and performers green room.

The cost to complete this transformation is $513,000. Thanks to support from:

  • The Columbia Basin Trust
  • The Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance
  • Heritage BC Heritage Legacy Fund
  • Kootenay Savings Community Foundation
  • Nelson & District Credit Union
  • Teck Trail Operations
  • Heritage Canada Cultural Spaces and
  • Canada 150 Infrastructure Program
  • The City of Rossland
  • Rossland Council for Arts & Culture

And fundraising initiatives like our Community Matching Campaign, we have raised all the funds needed!

Renovations to the Attic have begun and are slated to be complete by the end of May 2017 when we will welcome the Gold Fever Follies back to the Hall for their summer performance season.   Watch for announcements about our Grand Re-opening Celebration.

The old girl thanks you!
